Bruce P. Gelman, MD
Dr Bruce Gelman was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He attended college at Columbia University in New York City and then medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. In addition to completing his internship and residency at Johns Hopkins, Dr Gelman completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA in 1985.
Dr Gelman is an attending physician at Einstein Medical Center, Einstein at Elkins Park, Jeanes Hospital, and Kindred Hospital of Philadelphia. He has special interests in inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and clinical nutrition, but treats all gastrointestinal diseases.
Dr Gelman lives in the Philadelphia area but makes frequent trips back to his beloved Brooklyn with his wife. He also enjoys model railroading, riding his bike and rooting for the Brooklyn Nets.
